The Stenius House

Trähus restored the Stenius log house, a historically valuable and protected building from the 19th century. The house was dismantled in 2018 and put into storage for the duration of the Steniuksenkumpu construction project.

During the construction work, our restorers renovated the log house’s old doors and windows at our workshop in Raseborg. The house was re-erected on its original site in the autumn of 2020. At the same time, the condition of the frame was reviewed log by log, and some logs were replaced as needed. The roof and facade were also renewed, and the interiors were restored in keeping with the style of the old house.
