Our assignment was to restore the Art Nouveau character of a manor house in Ekenäs, designed by architect Hjalmar Åberg. In the library, there was a masonry fireplace from the 1980s that we chose to preserve. To make it harmonize with the building’s original style, it was adapted with a decorative painting inspired by traditional Art Nouveau motifs.
